Michael Usi is a Malawian actor, comedian and politician, known across the country as Manganya, the mischievous character he plays in the television sitcom Tikuferanji.
He has been a fixture of national radio and television for more than two decades, making him one of the most recognisable people in Malawi, and funded his early acting by working as a hospital clinician, having qualified in clinical medicine. He was sworn in as Vice-President of Malawi in 2024, following the death of Saulos Chilima in a plane crash.
